Setting up with the appt was easy however the time we requested was not the time that was actually set. That would have been a problem but Erica was too kind and came back from lunch to accommodate us. She was so professional yet friendly. She saw how excited I was and didn’t even look at me crazy 🤣🤣 Although we are only looking for temporary accommodations, she talked to us and showed us all of the amenities. I am so glad we got to see The Mason and pray that we will be able to stay there for a while!

I use The Mason as a very temporary place to be during the week. Only staying 2-3 nights/week and on some weeks, not even being here at all. However, every night I am here, I am subjected to the most obnoxious concerts from the business next door. I originally had a 1 star review because of a noise complaint. I took it down because Brandi Marshall, a leasing agent, seemed to actually care. Despite her actually caring, it hasn't gotten any better. The front desk also puts in effort to locate the noise. But with a private business next door, they do not have many options. The Mason is located right next to "Bottom Lounge" a place that always holds concerts. The music starts around 7pm and goes into the night. Currently, it is 11pm on a Wednesday and all I can hear is a rock concert. I have called the front desk twice and they were going to be looking into it for me. They couldn't locate it, so I suggested they come to my apartment to hear it for themselves. They never came. Pretty sure Chicago has a quiet hours ordinance in place from 10pm to 8am within 600' of a residential building. I cant believe I am the only one, or the first one to have this issue. I tried to post about this in the "Mason App" but behold, my post was never approved. I will be asking to sublease because everyone here pays far too much money to be subjected to this kind of obnoxious noise every single night. My suggestion to anyone thinking about The Mason as an option. Remove it from your list.

My Family and I moved into the Mason for 6 months on a work secondment from Australia, we were SO happy with the choice to select this building. The amenities are great, close to all restaurants and downtown which made it really easy with 2 young children! We have to give a MASSIVE shout out to SABRINA at the front desk....from day 1 she was so supportive and helped us with lots of advice and guidance. It made the experience so much easier with her around!

The apartment and building itself are beautiful. However, 1 of 2 elevators is frequently out of service and the freight elevator is constantly in use for moving, which does not help the overall elevator situation. The other big challenge is regarding receiving deliveries. Packages are frequently lost upon delivery and delivery guidance for instacart and uber eats/doordash is inconsistent. For instance, just this evening I ordered food and the delivery driver informed me that the door person would not allow them to come upstairs. Given my daughter was asleep, this was obviously an issue. Upon calling the front desk, I was informed that an email was sent from management saying no delivery persons were to be allowed upstairs. This would have been extremely helpful to know before placing the order, but this was never communicated to residents. This issue regarding packages and deliveries happens frequently. The pro is that the leasing agent, Erika and the lobby manager, Sabrina, seem to actually care about the residents and try their best. However, the issues with management for the overall building make this a tough sell.

Sabrina is amazing. Best door lady I've had. Very professional and friendly. Always will go above and beyond at her role whatever it may be. Great at managing and training others and runs a tight ship!

Been apartment hunting for the last month or so in the city (mainly in west loop, the loop, streeterville and river north), and this building had by far the most unprofessional leasing agent in town. Aside from the fact that she showed up 20 mins late to the appointment with no apologies or reason whatsoever, she had her airpods in both of her ears the entire time until we got to sit in her office. She was extremely rude and was dismissive of the fact that the apartment agent over the phone gave us the wrong information. Its clear that she doesn’t like her job and doesn't want to be there, but you don’t have to rub it onto us.

I have absolutely zero complaints. This is the best management I have ever experienced. All amenities are so clean all of the time that there is a cleaning person that works all day. The maintenance staff is unbelievable and everyone is so kind. I feel so lucky to live here and am so glad that I chose the Mason. Thank you thank you for everything!!!!

I’ve been living at The Mason for 7 months now and recently renewed my lease for another year. Erika Williams was my leasing agent and I must say that she was the main reason that i decided to lease and stay. She is very committed to making sure this apartment building is everything you need and more. On my tour, she knew that the gym was one of the amenities that I thought was important and that was the very first place we went! I was sold at that moment. State of the art everything and the best gym I’ve ever seen in an apartment building. She also went out of her way to show me multiple units and different layouts during my renewal process to ensure that i was transferring to a unit i would love. I would also like add that she is also in charge of all the social events organized for the building! She’s held many events through the year but my favorite was the Christmas party she hosted for the residents . She decorated and made sure that there was an endless supply of snacks and adult beverages. Everyone i met there had a great time and it was all thanks to Erika. There are also many dog positive events that she threw as well but i don’t have a pet :( As far as the apartment goes, it’s everything I’ve every wanted in a luxury apartment. Great appliances, perfect water pressure, great city views, fast internet, and in unit washer and dryer. I’ve also never heard my neighbors so that’s always a plus. I’ve never had a maintenance issue with my unit but they are very transparent about when they need to quality checks (smoke detectors and air filters). You are always informed if there is something that needs to be addressed. Overall, The Mason is a 10/10 for me as well as the service provided by Erika. She is a great asset to The Mason’s team and she really goes above and beyond to make you feel like this is where you want to be. Honestly if i could buy an apartment here and live forever i would haha. I love this building and i love this area and I’m certain others will too.
